My anti stretch marks routine during pregnancy.

Ma routine anti vergetures pendant ma grossesse

Hello sweet ladies! This is not groundbreaking,  every expecting woman keeps fingers crossed so she does not end up as a weird tiger after pregnancy. The key word to keep these  nasty stretch marks at bay is
 M-O-I-S-T-U-R-E.
Even before being pregnant, I used to moistururize from head to toe every day, at least once day. During pregnancy, I did it at least twice a day. And here is the results: though I've got a stretch mark-prone skin, I didn't  even have one little stripe!
So I'd like to share with you the products I used during these nine months.

To start with: I had a shower twice a day, as usual. With very gentle, soap free washing products.
Here are my faves:
1- L'Occitane en Provence Almond Shower Oil. Great scent and super soft on the skin.

2- Roger & Gallet Shiso Gentle Shower Cream. Sulfate, soap and paraben free! I picked it to pack for the hospital. I've been crazy about its baby-like, soothing scent for years now.

3- Nivea Shower Oil for dry skin. Smells good, plus it's inexpensive.

4- Avene Cold Cream Ultra Rich Cleansing Gel. Super mild for my skin, But I stopped using it after a few weeks, I couldn't stand its scent anymore (Thank you hormones!)

Then I kept my skin moisturized twice (or more!) a day, with oils and and creams . Here are my faves:

1- L'Occitane en Provence Almond Supple Skin Oil (this is an all-time favorite actually!) . It definitely helped keep my skin moisturized and supple.

2- Nivea Extended Moisture for dry to very dry skin. Great Nivea scent, as usual. It REALLY DOES keep your skin moisturized for a long time, no alligator skin after a few hours. I love this body cream!

3- Roger & Gallet Shiso Gentle moisturizing body lotion. Once again, amazing shiso scent and it moisturizes well, not as well as the Nivea one though.

4- L'Occitane en Provence Almond Milk Veil and Almond Firming and Smoothing Milk Concentrate. Great products to maintain a firm and soft skin, but not moisturizing enough.

5- The Body Shop Coconut Beautifying Oil. True-to-life coconut scent, great oil to moisturize and prevent dry, chapped skin.

6- Avene Body Oil, Does a very good moiturizing job as well. But just like the cleansing gel, I just got fed up with its scent.

The Body Shop Mango body scrub

Hello sweet ladies! Today I'd like to make a review on the Mango Body Scrub by the Body Shop.

Though I always use my moroccan black soap and my Bourjois Gommage de Rêve because they are my favorite scrubs ever, I like testing new products. So, a few months ago I purchased this yummy scrub.
What is it?
They describe it as follows: "Have soft, glowing skin with this oil-based, soft-textured scrub that is packed with exfoliating salt grains and organic sugar.
Mango seed oil moisturizes and softens skin without being greasy.
Community Trade organic cane sugar and salt grains gently exfoliate skin.
Community Trade organic soy oil, rich in essential fatty acids, helps repair skin’s moisture barrier for smooth, supple skin."
This scrub is made for very dry skins.

 How much for this?
$ 19.00 for 7.4 oz. Just the average size for body products.

What do I think about it?

- I'm crazy about its anthentic mango fragrance. It just smells awesome and lasts long after the shower.
- It is a good scrub without being agressive for my skin and leaves it soft and moisturized.
- On a weekly use basis, is takes time to hit the pan.

 - It is oil-based and leaves my skin oily and slippery after the shower, it's pretty disagreeable. This is the big downside of this product, and because of that I won't buy it again.

To put it in a nutshell :
I bought this scrub because it smells so good and because body scrubs tend to leave my skin dry. This one does moisturize but the greasy feeling on my skin after use makes that I won't recommend this product.

My super moisturizing tip for hands and feet

Hello sweet ladies! I hope your Saturday is going on pretty good.
Today, I'd like to share my tip for intense moisture for hands and feet.

What you need:
- a moiturizing cream or butter. You can choose whatever you want, specific for hand/feet or not, it's up to you. I usually use one of my Body Shop's body butters.

- a natural oil. Again, pick the one you like most. I prefer borrage oil or prickly pear oil because they have anti-ageing virtues. For my hands, I like picking castor oil as well because it strengthens my nails. Argan oil is very good too but if you don't have any of these, you can use any simple olive oil.

- latex gloves , the non-powdery ones (for hands), a freezer bag or any soft plastic bag you can have (for feet).

- gloves for your hands, stockings for your feet.

How do you do this?
- You start with generously applying your moisturizing cream: you must apply more than your skin can actually absorb.

- You put your hand/foot in the glove/plastic bag, then you add some drops of oil inside the glove/bag.

- you put on your gloves/stockings and you keep it for at least one hour. The longer you'll keep it, the more moisturized your skin will be.

- you remove the extra cream that remains with a clean towel and you can remove your cuticles with a birchwood stick (please, don't cut them!!!)

VOILA! you've got soft, moisturized hands/feet!

BE CAREFUL: avoid walking after you put your stockings on, you can fall down pretty easily.

How to take care of your breast...

...without breaking your wallet! Lots of brands have (very expensive) creams to take care of our breast I'm thinking about Clarins's bust beauty firming lotion and extra-lift gel.
Most of the time, they are full of chemical stuff and parabens... (I love Clarins, don't misunderstand me, but not for my breast) I think that because creams and oils can penetrate the body throuth the nipple, this should be an area where we don't use parabens at all.
 SCRUBING
Before scrubing, I clean my breast everyday with a 100% natural donkey-milk soap: it is super soft, and helps keeping a firm skin.
I use a gentle body scrub. My favorite ones are Nuxe's Gentle Aromatic Exfoliant with 3 roses, Bourjois's Exfoliating and Nourishing shower gel and Moroccan black soap.
The most natural one is the black soap, look for one which is organic, it will be 100% natural. Most of the time, it has a eucalyptus scent. You can use it with a Kesa glove if you want a deeper scrubing.
Bourjois's shower gel is my all time favorite. I love its oriental scent and it is super soft on the skin, plus it's the cheapest one that I have, I buy it in drugstores for 3.30 euros.

MOISTURIZING
My choice if for paraben free creams such like The Body Shop's body butters, I also have an edelweiss cream that I love, but don't use often because it was a bit pricy (25 euros).
You can also choose shea butter with specific essential oils that will help your skin staying moisturized and firm.
Finally, there's my best ally to nourish my breast skin and keep it firm: daisy oil, I pay a ridiculous price (10 euros) for it when I make a comparison with Clarins's gels and serums (45- 50 euros). It is 100% natural, it smells good and it is more efficient than any chemical cream you'll find in beauty stores.

MAKE IT GLOW!
If you want to have a beautiful shimmery décolleté for one night, you can use Nuxe's Multi-Usage dry oil golden shimmer. It is really pretty and gives a nice glow, but I just don't like how it smells.

There's also the Hei Poa's monoï oil Golden Mother of Pearl. It scent reminds me of summer time and vacations next to the beach. It is far less expensive than Nuxe and it gives a really pretty glow as well.

Last but not least, I like using Scott Barnes's Body Bling. It is more subtle than Hei Poa or Nuxe, but it gives a nice tan thaT I really love!!! But be careful: this one does contain parabens!

WHERE TO BUY:
- Nuxes's products: feel unique

POUR LES FILLES EN FRANCE:
