MAC Maleficent collection

Hello sweet ladies. I am a huge fan of Disney way before being a fan of makeup, so when both meets, it's like heaven to me ;).
I remember when MAC released the Venomous Villains collection for fall 2010, I was like crazy, and spent sleepless nights next to my laptop waiting for it to be launched on the internet, as I couldn't go to a MAC store to get all the items I wanted.
Anyway, once more, MAC chose to make a collection with a Disney character, and not any character: Maleficent, by far one of my favorite villains. She is so gorgeous and classy, while frightening at the same time. It is scheduled for May in the US, and for June in Europe.

It's not a huge collection, but I want all the lips items, they look awesome!!!! Plus the eyeliner, the eyeshadows and  maybe the sculpting powder. Unfortunately, the beauty powder is too pale for my dark skin, and MAC polishes have a very poor quality.

LIPSTICK

BEAUTY POWDER

SCULPTING POWDER

POLISHES, Flaming rose, Nocturnelle, Uninvited
FALSE LASHES

EYESHADOW QUAD. Ground Brown, Concrete, Carbon, Goldmine.
Pro Longwear Lipglass, Pro Longwear Lip Pencil, Prep + Prime Highlighter, Penultimate Eyeliner.

It's a shame they didn't create a purple and a green eyeshadow though. I know they already made these shades for the VV collection since I have them, but making brand new shades would have been great!
What do you think girls? Do you like this collection? Are you going to break your wallet?

Dare to wear... Red eyeshadow!

Hello sweet ladies, I hope your weekend is going on pretty good.

Today I want to share with you some swatches of my favorite red eyeshadows.
I love wearing red/rust eyeshadows, I think they are gorgeous and a bit unconventional...

I like using my MAC Fix + to foil loose eyeshadows, I just wet my flat stiff brush with it and it makes the colors pop like crazy...
To enhance my pressed red eyeshadows, I like using NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk or in rust, plus I never forget to use my primer potion as a base.

From left to right: without base, with NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk underneath, with NYW jumbo eye pencil in rust as a base.

What about you girls, do you wear red eyeshadows? What are your favorite shades? Do you have any tips to make them pop even more?

MAC Marilyn Monroe - Fall 2012

Products pictures

Hello sweet ladies! I'm very excited about the subject of this post because I really like this glamorous, feminine icon, Marilyn Monroe. The last collection from MAC that I was so enthusiatic about was Disney's Venomous Villains in 2010...

I was definitely impatient to see the packaging for this collection, guessing they would make something special for it. I must say I like it but a I'm a bit disappointed though... I actually expected a more glamorous/joyful portrait of Marilyn on the products.
I'm planning on picking a lipstick or two, one eyeshadow and maybe a blush...

Here are the pics for this collection.

Are you excited by this collection dedicated to Marilyn Monroe? Why? Why not?
What are the items you'd like to get ?
In your opinion, which ones are not worth splurging ?

NEW! Sugarpill's Heart Breaker palette!

Hello sweet ladies!!! Today is THE election day in France. We've just chosen a new president. I'm currently following the results on TV while it's rainy and foggy outside... A nice, cocooning Sunday!

Anyway, I'm very excited about what I've just learned about Sugarpill: they are lauching a brand new palette with new eyeshadows!!!! I've been waiting this for two years. I already have their two other palettes (Burning Heart & Sweet Heart) and they are by far my favorite bright colors in my stash!
I'm in love with Sugarpill.

The new one is called Heart Breaker, with matte eyeshadows (I'm a junkie for matte eyeshadows!)
It will available on May 18th

What about you girls? Do you like Sugarpill's eyeshasows? Are you going to buy this palette. Why? Why not?

Color block fashion!!!

Pourquoi? Pourquoi pas?

New Sleek palettes

Hello sweet ladies! How are you doing today?
I really love Sleek as a makeup brand because they make very pigmented eyeshadows for an affordable price. I've got a lot of them and I'm sooooooooooooooooo happy of their forthcoming palettes:

the Ultra Matte i-Divines palettes:

I love matte eyeshadows!!! I think I'm going to pick these two. They are really gorgeous. They'll be launched on 9th May.

What about you girls? Do you like Sleek and/or matte eyeshadows?

Thank you for stopping by and reading. Have a nice day.

Lime Crime - Palette d'Antoinette

Hello sweet ladies! I hope you had a good day and that everything's ok for you all.

Lime Crime has planned to launch a new palette for May 1st: palette d'Antoinette. It is obviously dedicated to the last French Queen: Marie Antoinette.
I like the pastel matte eyeshadows of this palette. Here are the names and description of the 5 shades:

Royal Flush – pastel pink (matte)
Absinthe-Minded – light green (matte)
Macarooned – peach (matte)
Ribbonesque – lavender (matte)
Mercurious – metallic silver (sparkle)

I've never given a try to Lime Crime though I've been tempted by their China Doll palette.
I'm mad at matte eyeshadows, so maybe this time I won't be able to resist.

What about you ladies? Are you gonna resist or not?

Urban Decay's Build Your Own Palette

I'm a real UD junkie!!! I fell in love with this brand 6 years ago and I've never stopped loving their products.

Urban Decay has just launched a palette you can make on your own - just like MAC or MUFE.
This palette can fit 6 Urban Decay eyeshadows and you've got an exclusive new shade inside : Walk of Shame -described as a matte soft pinky peach-  + a travel-sized Good Karma Brush and a mirror.

The price is $18 which I think is a good deal considering the fact you've got one eyeshadow and one brush inside.

I really like the design of this palette (as always with UD) , maybe I'll be tempted to buy one.

You can fill this palette with the new 68 UD eyeshadows. They indeed decided to change the packaging and the formula of their eyeshadows. Here is how they describe the new eyeshadows:

Even softer, amazingly velvety texture
Richer, more dense and decadent color
Smoother, more uniform pigment distribution and blendability
Longer-lasting, more crease-free wear
